Do you have the auto button enabled?

Do you have a route set over the crossing? If I'm not mistaken, when auto is on, the barriers will raise if there is not a route set.

As per fsxfaulder I had the same issue till I realised that you set the route first. then when notified that the route is clear, click the "clear button". Otherwise the gates go up and down like a yo yo!

I'm glad to say I've fixed this troublesome issue in the forthcoming loader version. The problems where caused by adding in an automated lower function as a train approached, but keeping the barriers down by route locking and checking the clear button had been pressed which was made more complex when the sim had TORR disabled.... *reaches for medication*...

When it's going to come forth I can't say with any certainty but soon I hope.

Out of interest do many real life LCs (asides AHBs etc.) have an auto raise feature?

Auto raise is common, especially in newer installations. Auto lower is a bit less common.

Indeed - are there any CCTV crossings without auto-raise around? I suppose candidates might include the few that are normally lowered (such as Appleford, SwinDid) or with semaphore signals reading over them (one of the three in Boston?).
