I may have a problem with the cursor on Windows when SimSig is running.

The white cross-hair cursor displays "behind" the grey track lines, meaning that the track colour is preserved over the cursor, instead of the white cursor appearing on top. Perhaps this effect has always been there, but I didn't notice it until today.

I can recall display problems in the past, but I can't remember any details.

Any info would be welcome.

That's how it's always been on my XP system.

From what I've seen, the cursor inverts the colour behind it- Black background gives a white cursor, orange platforms gives a blue cursor, green to pink, white to black etc. However, the inverse of grey is grey, so the cursor seems to disappear.

Always done that for me too, and IIRC so do real IECC systems.

It does sound like an inverted cursor is being used. Control Panel -> Mouse -> Cursors (depending on Windows flavour) should sort it out. All-black obviously won't help; all-white would be a problem for other applications; so some combination would be better. Not a good example but this sort of shows a white centre with a black outline which would work on both dark screen (SimSig) and light screen (most other Windows stuff).

Thanks for those replies. I checked the pointer setting which is on the Windows Aero scheme. The pointer still disappears behind the grey track. Even though I have played many hours of SimSig, it somehow doesn't seem normal. Of course, I may be wrong. Is it supposed to do that? I have that feeling that something has changed but can't put my finger on it.
