As the rebuilding of Blackfriars started in 2009, would this be an appropriate guess at how the area looked like at that time? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Yes, that is spot on. However, please note that the NR Planners did not re-write the line codes to cater for there being no slow lines so as a result you will have to run that section out of ARS Noisynoel Last edited: 03/02/2014 at 20:53 by Noisynoel Log in to reply |

Very impressed, well done. Must try that myself sometime and run the Sevenoaks trains to and from Snow Hill Sidings.

" said:Yes, that is spot on.Noel, do you know if Jan's diagram of possessions would also still be correct for the first quarter of 2012? I seem to recall it wasn't until May 12 that the bay platforms opened, but wasn't sure on the possessions that would have still be on the running lines at the beginning of the year. The Blackfrairs layout in the SIM was before any work was carried out. But after April in 2009 it was not possible to access the Carriage road from the Up Blackfriars spur as VS947 points were removed. All traffic from the London bridge direction had to be accepted on the Down Blackfriars spur for the carriage road. It was also no longer possible to enter the carriage roads from the Elephant and Castle direction from the Up Holborn fast. Trains for the carriage sidings crossed to the Down Holborn fast through a newly installed set of points (VS951) just after VS378 signal and the move into the carriage sidings was controlled by a new signal (VS812) just before Blackfriars Jn Mark Log in to reply The following user said thank you: TimTamToe |

Thanks Mark. I knew that the sim simulates the old bays and layout...It was more if the slow lines between Blackfriars Jcn - Southwark Bridge Jcn remained shut until the new bays (not simmed) opened. I only used to travel from London Bridge direction and not from E&C Gareth Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Lagertoe |

Gareth As far as Victoria ASC was concerned they disappeared in April 2009 from Southwark Bridge Jn until the final commissioning of the bay platforms at Blackfirars in 2012. Also the Up Holborn Fast became the Up Snow Hill from Blackfrairs Jn in 2009. Mark Log in to reply The following user said thank you: TimTamToe |

Mods, is this thread worth making a Sticky? It's got some useful info for setting a simulation up correctly...

When I have a free moment, I'll make up a "saved simulation" at the start of the timetable of the 2009 Timetable, with the isolations made as shown...

Apologies for bumping up such an old thread, but while updating timetables I had a thought... Would it be possible whenever the sim is updated next to included the isolations / closures that Jan showed in the image in the first post of the thread as a "scenario option" so the end user doesn't need to apply them all themselves at the start of each new running of the sim. I realise you can do it once and save it and keep re-running it but by having it as a scenario it would enable other options to be changed more easily too eg difficulty, ARS etc etc Gareth Log in to reply |

Looking more closely at my screenshot 1. I probably ought to have locked 953 points (the UF-DS crossover at Blackfriars Jn) normal as well. 2. The second carriage road at Blackfriars was probably decommissioned together with all the other layout changes in March 2009, right?
