I've created an overview showing which lines are electrified.

If anybody wants to proofread it before I'll upload it to the wiki...

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

Looks about right - some of the TC shapes where there is a leg that's not connected to further electrification can be taken out - e.g around Gartsherrie South Jn and Coatbridge. Motherwell line to North sidings.

Notwithstanding - it's really good - thanks.

If I'm allowed to be overly pedantic , there are short wire run-offs at Gartsherrie and Coatbridge.

What I'm not sure is:

  • The crossovers at Holytown Junction - as far as I can tell, they don't look electrified even though there are some shunt routes provided over them.

  • It looks like part of what is labelled as Wagon Sidings at Motherwell TMD is electrified, too. As it's not mentioned in the manual, is that replicated in sim as well?

Sorry for the bump to this thread - but in creating and testing a timetable for this sim, it appears that Gartsherrie spur is too short to allow any correct length liner train to back into Coatbridge FLT - trains regularly form to just over 550m some just under 600m, but the maximum length you can back in is 400m,

Is the crossover at Hamilton West electrified (move M221 - M211) ???? - during testing with problems and delays on I tried to reverse a Larkhall service there but got a no electrification message, it wasnt possible to go to the single line section as there was a queue already waiting for thing to clear up

Following on from Jans post above - there are paths in the wtt for ECS EMUs to motherwell depot that reverse at M372 to access the depot so woould assume that the wagon roads are missing electrification.

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

The spur north of Coatbridge is almost 1000m long in real life, but as you say, the Simsig version is considerably shorter for one reason or another.

It's since been added to the Motherwell manual and can be found here.
