I've noticed there is a problem loading older saves with newer loader versions. Although the sim says "the save will load, but there may be compatibility problems" it actually doesn't load - the program embarks to an infinite loop and never does anything.

By chance, I happened to discover that 4.0.25 loads the save fine, and if re-saved in 4.0.25, the game loads fine in 27. By diffing the two it showed that the reason for the file not to load is that the numbers use decimal comma instead of decimal point in numbers. ie:

v4.0.19 : 1,23456
v4.0.25+: 1.23456

Indeed, substituting these commas for points makes the file load.

I've experienced a similar problem earlier when a file posted here on the forum didn't load for me, but others apparently could load it fine. I think it wasn't saved by a different version then (but my memory regarding this is patchy).

A save (KX) showing that is attached.

Due to update in the loader following the problems outlined in this thread and this thread.
