This looks to me like an "L" train unhappy it's in a subway, and trying to get back to its Elevated roots! More relevantly to the forum, and not underground, there are a couple of pages on Tower 18 above the intersection of Wells and Lake Streets. The first link has a couple of pictures from 1962 showing the interlocking machine (though it doesn't look like what's shown could cover the entire junction). Log in to reply |
