Trying to figure out how the operation of these signals work. The signals look like autos - they don't control any routing. But you have to click them to get them to set. Seems to run against the normal way these work. Is there a reason for this? Log in to reply |

That would be because the signals in question are semaphores, I would imagine.

At the time of the simulation, Shirley, Hampton-in-Arden and Bearley Jn were controlled by semaphore signalling, hence the lack of auto signals. You'll also notice that the Distant signals (marked as repeaters in the simulation) will only clear when all the stop signals are clear. The auto buttons at Hampton are there to make it a bit easier to manage.
