In fairness to TylerE, this is a payware sim so the question is not unreasonable, although I cannot answer it.

It was me who opened up the ticket on the issue tracker against this bug (although I was not the first to find it), and it is marked as fixed so it should not be too long at a guess.

Any eta on when the updated sim will be released? Rather annoying as it isn't possible to play the supplied time table wtihout lots of cheating.

As with any updates or new sims, it will be ready when it's ready. Once Geoff has fixed the problems iditified it will go to the up testers to check. As a work around for the moment, I have been routing trains for canal wharf into the euroterminal talking them past the last the signal (having abandoned or changed the tt to suit). This means that you have minimal disruption to the rest of the sim.
What about the fact that we have paid for the sim, I accept that bugs will be present, however, should these not be fixed more promptly than a freeware sim? Asking for an estimate on when an update will be released is not unreasonable when it is a payware sim.

I agree.

Once people have paid for something then it does become that bit more important to keep them informed and to give bug fixes utmost priority.

I am also inclined to agree with this.

Later this week. I don't like releasing insta-fixes only to find another issue, so it's better to wait a couple of weeks and then roll all the fixes and testing into one package.

Maybe this is the software guy in me, but "it's ready when it's ready" is a perfectly good answer. Paid/free makes no difference. Updates come through pretty regularly as it is.

There's a sprinkle of minor snags, certainly doesn't need "lots of cheating". Key the points through to the junction, PSAD, then remove the train. Working around these issues is half the fun.

Certainly ! From one s/w guy to another. Yet it is a few days since Geoff announced he'd found and fixed it. .... I have no idea what it looks like under the hood but I'd be quite happy to take that one fix and wait for the rest.

Anyway, I know an awful lot of "payware" PC games which have a lot of bugs that makes them unplayable, and you have to wait for ages for a bugfix (or in some cases you never get any). So I think the best I can do is to check the Simsig web page daily to see if this sim has been updated. In the meantime, I simply talk the train past signal 822 at danger, with points set manually. Simple!
