Hi, being a local to Wolverhampton and having spent many a hour on Wolves station (along with Coseley & Tipton) in the past this sim interests me greatly. I have downloaded the demo & I'm amazed you only get 1 minute. Is there a way you could at least make it 5 minutes so I can make my mind up about whether I want to purchase it or not? Best regards, Andy. Log in to reply |

Hi, There was a bug that affected the demo time but this has been fixed recently. Please click "check for updates" in the Loader and this should cure it. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Aston |

Worked perfectly thanks. Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd post a question here. How do I get a train off the up stour into platform 2? I'm assuming I have to flick a switch somewhere because default the line runs into platform 1. I've tried to find said switch but I can't work it out. Also when a freight comes in from the north & it needs to avoid Wolves station area how do I make that go via portobello junction. I'm sorry but I'm a complete newbie to this & I really want to make sure I know what I'm doing before purchasing it Log in to reply |

Up Stour to P2: Left click on the signal that is showing double yellow in the picture, left click on the signal showing single yellow, left click same again, then left click the red at the upper right. However, I think you actually mean Down Stour to P2. For this you need to use the blue via buttons: For this you need to click on signal labelled 1, then either of the two blue blobs 2a or 2b, then 3. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Thanks Geoff, you were indeed right, I did mean from the down stour. That's all sorted. :) Now about my other question. I have added a pic so you know what I mean: How do I get a train from the Up Stour to go via Bushbury JN & Oxley JN. In simple terms to turn left at that single yellow signal in the pic. Sorry I'm such a noob Log in to reply |

You need to cancel the little blue 'A' symbol next to the signal (this turns off automatic). Cancel the signal by right clicking on it and itll free up. Just remember that afterwards the signal wont be automatic so you will have to manually set the route from it.

Aston Have you looked at the SimSig wiki. This contains a lot of information which would help you resolve your own queries (particularly this page and this page). “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 20/07/2014 at 07:53 by postal Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Aston |

Thanks guys. @postal - Yeah I had read the wiki but was still getting myself in a confused state. After much trial & error I have sorted it now. Now I have a new problem lol. I start a new sim. 00.00am start (v4.01) When I send the train(1J36)from platform 2 towards Oxley this happens: It also happens when I send 5G47 after it on the same route. Why is it saying the train is non-described? When either train leaves the platform it is displaying the right headcode  Am I forgetting to do something? Have you by any chance been using the white arrow instead of the signal to the left of it for setting the route from the platform? The white arrow is for setting shunt routes, which, as the name implies :P, are only intended for shunting movements around the station. Additionally, quite often train descriptions won't step when shunt routes are used, which explains why the description has been lost and subsequently replaced by ****. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.
