Does anyone know where I can find the working timetable for the SRPS northbound run behind 46233 Duchess of Sutherland. I suppose that I am too cheap to take the tour, but should like to see and hear the ascents of Shap and Beattock. Probably can manage to drive from Shap to Beattock and overtake the train while it takes a big drink somewhere around Carlisle (Floriston troughs now not present).

UK Steam info has a handy list of all steam tours, with links to times added when they become available. Additionally, Real Time Trains will contain the train's schedule, which will show real time running information on the day. To find the schedule on RTT, use the detailed search to show all trains on the 12th for a location you know the train is passing through (e.g. Oxenholme), and marry the schedule there with the times on UK Steam info. Please note that if the train is operated by DB Schenker, it will be displayed as a Freight train. West Coast operated trains show as passenger.

The schedule for the tour is already in and can be found here. Keep checking back, as it may change nearer the tour date.

Or any other freight TOC - DRS also operate a number of railtours quite regularly. The TT will still have the correct Class 1 headcode (first digit) applied, making it quite easy to find, as there's not many class 1s running as "freight".

Yeah, for stupidbusiness confidentiality reasons, the live data feeds don't display real headcodes of any train run by an operator defined as a freight operator (== anything that shows up as ZZ in RTT). This includes passenger charter services.

Charters operated by WCRC usually show the correct headcode, though

Indeed, because WCRC is defined as a passenger operator (not ZZ, but WR) :)

(I just realised my post was a little ambiguous, hence the confusion - I didn't mean "This includes [all] passenger charter services", but "This includes passenger charter services [run by the aforementioned operators]".)

Thank you.

UK Steam only had the public TT, but RTT showed it running as 1Z50, from Crewe to Polmont, detailed view gave me what I needed. Sadly, it's going to be all but dark as it sets about Beattock, after a 52 minute stop in Lockerbie DGL.
