Is there any way the (quite restrictive) download limit can be raised? Had to do an unexpected OS reinstall and am trying to download sims, sounds, TTs, etc, and the 10 a day limit is proving quite restrictive - especially as a paying customer.

Must admit, having acquired a new PC that this has been very restrictive as well.

I've increased the limit to 25 from 10.

Is there a download limit to save space on the server?

Limiting of downloads woulden't save space (The file is still there anyway), but would however reduce the potential traffic being drawn on the server. I would assume that this is the reason why there is a download limit

Correct - it hadn't changed from the days when SimSig was entirely donation funded so we couldn't afford masses of bandwidth. Now, well the bandwidth goes up and up each month so it still costs more money!

Have you considered swapping the core code's zeros for lower-case letter "o"'s? They're almost the same, but a bit smaller so they should take up less space in the internet tube.

Hope this helps! :silly:

Appears the configuration "save" button does not work.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed the figure had not changed. Definitely something amiss with this component but it's not like it can be easily replaced with another, less buggy one. Should be 25 now after a manual database poke.

Can I ask that the 'the download limit has been reached' page is displayed when someone attempts to physically download the file, and not just when they want to view the page the file is on. It also prevents the author from amending or updating their own submission. Please!
