" said:Are you looking to develop and put your Simsig skills/knowledge to the next level....Tom In the longer term would it be feasible for TRE to consider tele-working for roles like this? It would widen your pool of potential contractors and reduce the pressure on your office accommodation. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: pebbens |

Tom, I can't help but feel you're trying to pitch to a lot of people who aren't actually sufficiently qualified/experienced/knowledgeable/appropriate for the job in hand, right? Log in to reply |

If that was the case then why would I be doing this? The point I was trying to get across in the previous post that if there are folk who have gained a knowledge of signalling principles through playing / testing of SimSig then that would stand them in good stead to understand how a signalled layout is supposed to operate which would then translate well into job skills the average person off the street wouldn't have when they walk in the door. We wouldn't be expecting them to know how to put one of our products together because that kind of training would be given on the job. Apologies again if this is the impression I've given in the past. Hope that clears that up. Log in to reply |

I would be interested were I not still at uni. If you offer summer internships I'd definitely be interested for next summer, but I'm guessing you don't.

I'd be very interested in this, as an ex-Signalman, but I live in the wrong country

I'd be interested... if it was a perm position that was competitive with my current salary. Given I have a young family to support, I don't feel I can risk contracting at the moment. (my current train to work stops in Bradford anyway!) Log in to reply |

I do indeed Peter. I think it's a Gloucester-Westbury service.
