I believe this is a known issue that has been reported in a few other places. I suspect it'll be fixed in the next loader update.

I believe the sim should still work, but you might lose ARS/auto working for that train.

As Muzer said this is a known issue, but as a workaround you need to make the two trains mentioned in the error message non ars. Otherwise the sim may unexpectedly shutdown.

To make the trains non ars, right click the headcode and select the option

Thanks guys. I get about 15 seconds before the game crashes. I'll give it a shot.

Try ticking the start the game paused checkbox when you select what save you want to load. If the problem is as soon as you start then it'll be those two trains each time when you start that save so you'll know which to make non ars.

Many thanks to all, I have managed to get through the rest of the day with no other issues.

One more not warranting its own thread,

I had 0E85 in Falkland Jn HS delayed due to passenger disturbances.

The passengers at this point realised they were just in a loco

In fairness I just had a loco delayed for technical reasons which is fair enough.

Core code presumably, it's a good idea if freight and locos can be delayed in this way just not because of the wrong food trolley..

Sidings to HS should validate OK but there is an error for back again (HS to Sig 38 will work though).

Note: Sidings are exit/entry locations.

Hi all I have a problem trying to download the Paisley sim.

I cannot get the sim to create a desktop icon but the sim is in the licence manager. I have exceeded my downloads and at my wits ends any help much appreciated

Just tried to download the Central Scot sim again. And it worked. Desktop option was there

Have you read the installation guide on the wiki?

Paisley is a loader sim and needs to be launched through the Simsig Loader program.

It's not at all clear what you are doing: but it looks like it's wrong.

First it's a loader Sim so you will not get a desktop icon for the Sim - you should have an icon for the loader if you have installed that though.

Have you searched for "paisley.sim" I you can find that then you have Paisley installed but you also need loader.

Loader is part of the system files - have you installed the latest version?

Search for Loader.exe to find it, if not then install that as above.

When you run loader you should then pick up the Paisley Sim.

Peter

PS
Central Scotland is still a exe Sim which is an old format so works differently.

Please make sure you have read and followed the Installation Guide.

Next, follow the instructions for Starting a simulation.

As others have said, Paisley uses the SimSig Loader. Central Scotland does not, so the method of starting the two simulations is different. You will not get a desktop icon for Paisley- you use the icon for the SimSig Loader.

Can anyone help with the 2015 timetable. I just get the 2 2006 timetables if I select no time table and then try to merge the 2015 one I get a message saying it may not be compatible. One time I tried it nothing came from Sheilds Rd. I thought it may be on the loader. Cheers Iain

You need to move the 2015 timetable file to the same location as the 2006 timetable files, then they should be displayed when you start a new simulation.

To run the 2015 timetable you'll need to run Paisley in 2015 mode, as a third line has been added between Shields Jn and Paisley, with the junction at Paisley completely remodelled.

Have you copied the 2015 WTT file to the same place as the 2006 WTT files? They should go in Public Documents/SimSig/Timetables/Paisley?

As I said, to get trains entering at Shields Rd you need to start the simulation in 2015 mode.

I presume from what you have written that you mean that the 2006 TT shows when you run the loader rather than that you know where the file is on your hard disk. The 2015 TT file needs to go in the same place on your hard disk so you are going to have to do a bit of detective work. Normally you will find your SimSig files in the Public folder on your computer. There will be a SimSig folder with a Timetables sub-folder and a further Paisley sub-folder under timetables. The 2015 TT needs to go there. If you can't find the Public folder you will need to search for Paisley August 2006 v4.5.4.WTT. When you have found where that file lives, drop the 2015 TT in the same place. It will then show in the loader.

Edit: Busy typing while Steamer was posting.

Some systems (XP for one) may show "Public Documents" as "Shared Documents"

ie, "My Computer / Shared Documents / Simsig / Timetables"
