Now available to download here.

This timetable completes the set of five Western Region Summer Saturday 2014 timetables, which are fully compatible.

Description

This timetable replicates a typical summer Saturday in the Gloucester area. The timetable is fairly similar to a weekday one, but with a much reduced freight service and an earlier wind-down of passenger trains. Bar a few minor tweaks, rolling stock allocations are accurate for FGW services. Train times have been taken from Open Train Times and Real Time Trains, with freight headcodes taken (where possible) from Network Rail's online WTT. Thanks also to Officer Dibble for providing me with diagram and rolling stock information.

This Timetable is fully compatible with Bristol and Swindon timetables of the same name.

If you want fancy more of a challenge, why not add the Severn Tunnel Diversions add-on, available in the Download area? Please note that adding this timetable will remove compatibility with adjacent simulations.

First Great Western

1tph Bristol- Gloucester, extended every two hours to Worcester. Continues to various destinations beyond Worcester/Bristol throughout the day.
1tph Swindon- Cheltenham (via Gloucester) stopper, extended every two hours to London Paddington.

Services are a mixture of Class 150 and Class 158 DMUs, with HSTs used on the two-hourly extensions of the Cheltenham service to London.

Cross Country

2tph Birmingham- Bristol. 1tph is Manchester- Bristol (with extensions beyond Bristol throughout the day), the other runs between various locations on a South-West to North-East axis.
1tph Nottingham- Cardiff.

Cross Country uses a mixture of Class 220 and 221 units on Bristol services and a handful of HSTs. HST workings are accurate, I've been unable to find 220 and 221 diagrams so 221s have been used throughout.
Cardiff services use Class 170 DMUs.

London Midland

1tph Birmingham- Hereford (via Droitwich Spa), with extras throughout the day, operated by Class 170s.

Arriva Trains Wales

1tph (with a gap every 3 hours) Cheltenham- Maesteg (via Lydney and Cardiff), with odd services terminating at Gloucester.

A wide variety of classes are used on this service, but here Class 150s have been assumed throughout.

Other Notes

Platform numbers are accurate, with tweaks to avoid conflicts.

Please be aware that reversing HSTs will not fit in Platform 2 at Gloucester.

6Z61 is an engineering train for a posession at Ashchurch, and should not be routed towards Ashchurch until the last Up train (1M87 if all is running on time) has passed. Cheltenham High Street loop is the last point at which this train can be held.

1T20 terminates at Bromsgrove, with the empty stock reversing on the DGL. This will require you to authorise 1T20 onto a goods line, as the last signal before the loop starts is before Bromsgrove station.

Any questions, problems, bugs etc., please feel free to report below.

Enjoy!
