Entry point codes? 09/02/2015 at 17:01 #69026

Good afternoon,

Having acquired a fresh supply of round tuits, I thought I'd have a go at trying to create my first timetable. My chosen target is Winter Sundays 2014-15 and I started off with the intention of creating it in a text editor and using ConvData to get it into WTT format.

I've managed to get seed trains working (albeit with some poetic licence so they appear at controlled signals), but can't figure out the entry point codes as they're not on the Wiki.

For examples, for Balcombe Tunnel Junction, I've tried BALCMTJ and EBALCMTJ, but with no success...Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Barry

That's the normal convention. What you can do is create a mini timetable through the editor and then open that up and see what's actually coded. Convert WTT to zip and open that.

Thanks for pointing out the omission. I've now added it to the Wiki page for Brighton timetabling.

Tried that. Unfortunately, ConvData threw up an "Expected string" type error and refused to work (not on the computer with it on at the mo, so can't give the full error), hence asking here.

Thanks for that. Some are more obvious than others!

No don't use convdata on Loader sims; rename the .WTT to .zip and open the .zip file where you will find the files which can be read in notepad or similar (I use notepad++).
