Trying to get the three sim updates from yesterday - Shrewsbury, Leamington & Salisbury - and the loader goes into the update mode happily but quickly reports "Not Responding" although the process, SimSigRefresher.exe, is still making use of the memory and processor with varying values.

Tried a few times now to get these updates today, all with the same non-result. Not had any issues with loader / loader sim updates before this.

I know others have been able to get these latest updates so I don't think it's the server end as such. Maybe check your virus scanner - it might have blocked something?

I'm using Microsoft's Security Essentials and Windows Firewall. Turned both off and tried again. Still not working, I'm afraid. I might try re-installing the loader.

Aha! That did the trick. Re-installed the system files and after the necessary reboot tried another update and all is now well!

Appreciate the reply Geoff, if only to know for sure that your server was not the problem.
