I have tried to log in to my License Manager but it keeps saying - Failed to connect to server. I have tried re-installing the System Files but to no avail. Just bought the West Midlands multi buy as well

Are you running any Anti Virus software that could be blocking the license manager?

I used to have the same problem with Norton. Wouldn't let me download from quite a few sites even when I tinkered with the settings Ditched it in favour of the paid version of AVG. No probs since. Mal. Log in to reply |

Ok tried running as an administrator no good, tried rebooting no good. Just shelled out 30 quid for Norton after swapping Broadband to EE so can't really ditch it. Really not sure what to do

Have you had a look to see if Norton may have quarantined any files that may prevent the Manager from working? What are you using to run your computer? Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

At least until a few years back, Norton was notorious for these sorts of problems, even when disabled - at times, a full uninstall would be required to get programs to work.

Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I'll check Norton again. Checked Norton and can't see on the security risks for yesterday and today that it has blocked access to SimSig. Have also excluded the license manager from scans etc. But still it won't connect

Norton has different settings now to when I last used it but is fairly straightforward. You go into settings and then Anti Virus. Click on Scans and Risks and scroll down to "Items to exclude from scans" then "Items to exclude from auto protect, SONAR and Download intelligent detection". In both cases you must point to the program on your HDD ie C:\program files x86\ SimSig\SimSig license manager and click add, this will put the item on a list for exclusion. Once done click apply and that's it

Well it was something to do with Norton. Uninstalled and logged straight in to apply my license, now replacing with Bitdefender as someone suggested earlier in the thread.
