Hi all! Quick potential bug report here. Whilst trying the "Maxand Exeter Challenge", I saved a game to come back to it later. Upon reloading the game, I immediately get the notice: "2F19 waiting at red signal EJ21 (Exmouth Jn area)" despite the signal being green. I have attached the save for your perusal. Very interesting. I've just started up the simulation, and the events sequence is as follows:
I assume that when loading the save, there is a brief delay in getting various items into the correct state, hence the brief flick to red. Most of the time, this appears not to be a problem- 96 briefly goes back to red in front of 1C10, and I've observed it elsewhere on other simulations. 1C10 (and other trains) are not affected. My guess is that you saved the instant before 2F19 passed EJ21, such that the 'Trains will never pass red signals' rule was triggered, and 2F19 stopped immediately. I'd also assume that other trains start to brake, but as the signal instantly re-clears, they stop braking and the effect is unnoticed. I assume the developers are aware that this happens, and made an exception to the ACOA call for the first second or two of the simulation? For instance, I was able to replace 35 in 1O94's face without penalty. That's my theory, it could be complete nonsense.
