Well not quite.... But as the amount of time playing and developing Simsig increased I thought it was time for some extra screen space!

Kings Cross sim used to demonstrate just how much you can see!

It's certainly the only way to play some of the larger sims is more screens. :-)

All you need is a graphics card with more than one output, simply plug in the extra monitors and set it up in Windows to extend the desktop.

Just remember, Windows vista was the first windows with support for more than 2 screens without specialist software. If you are still on XP, more than 2 screens is a little more difficult to do.

Was it ? Does the Catalyst Control Centre class as specialist software then ? That's all I needed to have three screens on Windows XP!

I don't believe that's true, since I remember an article stating that Windows 98 supports 9 screens, in order that you can have the 3x3 grid. Future versions only upped this figure.

Oh my goodness your setups are awesome !!!

Do you just stretch out the screen across the three monitors? Can you then perhaps load the West Midlands Trio of simulations and have one sim running on each screen ?

Regards

It can be done that way, alternatively you can use Show> New View to new windows that can be focussed on different parts of the layout.

In theory, yes.

It is as easy just to stretch the sim across them all, especially when you have five monitors like Karl whereby most sims will fit in their entirety anyway.

When I have hosted in the past I have placed a different sim on each screen to see a bit of each one.
