Hey guys
Just setup a Dedicated Server at home for SimSig multiplayer;
Could someone please attempt to connect to the terminal?

This text is hidden because you are not logged in.

Also what does the Interface Gateway option do? (51515) - I try and connect and nothing happens?

Thanks in Advance,
Joshua Nathan Pope-Lewis

PS: Please note I may not accept your connection as it is bed time, but I will check the logs in the morning for clarification

The interface gateway can be used to get NR style TD and signal data out of, as well as I understand it to be a couple other bits now as well

I have persionally used these, and the results of which can be seen in the video in this link

Hope this helps, James

Thanks James,
What a brilliant idea! Will look into implementing that shortly (If someone can verify you can actually connect to my open session )

Is there any documentation on this?

Regards,
Joshua Pope-Lewis

In terms of using the feeds, I started from here http://nrodwiki.rockshore.net/index.php/About_the_Network_Rail_feeds however, expect a lot of headaches, and if you haven't done any programming before, expect a lot of headaches.

If people are interested, I can make available what I have done before to look at. Done about 5 or 6 areas now.

Hey,
So SimSig sends out the same data as NetworkRailDataFeeds?

If so...GOOD NEWS...ish, I have started on making NetworkRail Data TD Maps -- So maybe able to transfer it across..hmm we will see!

Some of us decide to check things before sending something out. In fact I modified the program so some bits will work correctly without a Z:\ directory

Update:
Windows Server 2012 R2 - Made multiple 'SimSig' Accounts and currently programming a 'Port Allocation' software so there are no clashes...hoping to run a huge test session (Multiple chaining) soon...however HOSTS will have to Remote Desktop into the server to do 'host-only' actions until I can work up a fix and/or make other arrangements with developers.
