Morning all, I am a newbie to SimSig, and at present cannot get 5D68 from signal TV7 to Alrewas then Derby.I have requested the lower DN slot from the top Litchfield TV box but it just keeps on flashing. Do I need to request the Derby slot only? What am I doing wrong? Cheers Andy Log in to reply |

You are in control of both Lichfield Trent Valley and Alrewas absolute block controls. In reality, these are in two separate signalboxes. You need to offer the train from the Lichfield TV box by clicking the "Is line clear" (C) button for the down line. Then, Alrewas box (also controlled by you) needs to accept the train by also clicking the C button for the down line. Then you will be able to set a route. Then you should set the block controls to "train on line", by clicking "O" for the down line in the Lichfield TV box, and acknowledging in the Alrewas box by also clicking O. Once the train leaves the absolute block section, you need to click N (normal) for the down line at Alrewas, which should then be acknowledged by clicking "N" at Lichfield TV. Bear in mind also that to set the route from AS5, the level crossing barriers need to be down. The Derby slot also comes into play for THAT route, but that behaves like a normal slot.
