I've produced an electrification map intended for the wiki similar to the one I did for Motherwell:


First, one question: Is 136 crossover at Newton Junction actually electrified? From what I've found online it looks like it isn't, but I'm not absolutely sure.

Next, I think I've found a number of discrepancies between reality and the sim:

  • The Goods Line through Ardrossan South Beach is electrified starting from the overlap of GPK482, although to be honest this is somewhat nitpicky as it's very very improbably that an electric train would actually want to use that piece of line.

  • 136 crossover at Newton Junction probably shouldn't be electrified (see above).

  • At Falkland, reception line #1 is only electrified for the first 100 m as measured from the tip of 124 points and reception line #2 is only electrified over 124 points themselves, but not even behind the shunt signal. This means that electric trains can only get in and out from the Prestwick end.

  • For the route from GPA340 to GPA844, electric trains complain about missing electrification even though there's no reason to.

  • The Up Girvan should be electrified between the platform and 152 crossover, the Down Girvan to approximately 200 m in rear of GPA358. Currently, electric trains complain about missing electrification as soon as they reach GPA855/857, so I didn't manage to reverse one behind GPA859/358.

Thanks, couple of errors. Due to Sim limitations trains will refuse routes if not all the TCs in the line of route are electrified which explains some observations so electrification extended.

Thanks. I suppose that sim limitation means that you can simply leave the whole #1 reception between GPA838 and GPA327 electrified, so there was no need for me to measure it that exactly :laugh:

Thats Paisley.
Class 150/2 approaching towards Welshpool. Wrong train you got, only 158's are fitted with ERTMS.

Just spotted it, Falkland DGL is missing its electrification within the sim as well.
