I have just installed Simsig system files and all of the sims onto a new PC. For payware sims, I have removed the licenses from the old machine and allocated them to this one. All payware sims are showing as having licenses allocated but will only run in demo mode. I have followed the instructions under "Possible issues" (bottom of the page) but, after having restarted the license manager several times, ensuring it is located in the correct folder and even uninstalling and reinstalling the sims, License Manager will not create the common.cfg file. Specs Windows 10 OEM version. License Manager version 3_236a Any help would be appreciated. Not fat ..... fluffy!! (G Iglesias) Log in to reply |

That's quite an old version, latest is 4.1, try updating it?

Have just tried on my machine (Win7) and got the following. I ran License manager and as soon as I logged in I got a message saying "synchronising sims" (or similar) and that created the Common.cfg file. I take it you don't get that. The license manager control system shows all but one of your sims allocated to a computer and you say that your license manager shows them too, so that seems OK. Hi all I have a problem trying to download the Paisley sim. I cannot get the sim to create a desktop icon but the sim is in the licence manager. I have exceeded my downloads and at my wits ends any help much appreciated. Log in to reply |

All fixed. I had to reinstall the system files. Thanks for all the help. :-)
