I often play smaller sims, especially during the early parts of a TT when you only get a train every 30 mintutes or so - at very high rates of time acceleration. This works great....until you get a phone call, which sends you scurrying to lower the speed to answer the call. I'd like an option to automatically drop to 1x speed when a call comes in, and then a simple keybinding/gui button to return to the previous speed once the call has been dealt with. Log in to reply |

Press n, not sure why the wiki page shows capitals with an instruction to use lower case. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

When I play at very high speed to get past a quiet spot, I have my finger poised on the 'P' key (Pause). Soon as the phone goes off or a new train enters the territory, I hit pause, drop the speed to 1:1 then resume. Simples. :-) Not fat ..... fluffy!! (G Iglesias) Log in to reply |

Equally, you can use F to speed through 5 minute intervals. In these scenarios I sometimes make sure everything's squared away and press F. Should a call come in, instantly press N, take the call, and if appropriate press F again. Appreciate that's not returning to the speed you've chosen, but it might be a bit of a workaround.
