I will be interested to learn what those reasons are: I wonder if we will see another London sim in connection with this.

If it's London Bridge, I'll be over the moon.

If it's Three Bridges, I'll be over Neptune.

I'm wondering if Geoff has a direct interest in it being the specified date.

Hmmm. A sim release perhaps. Although I may be on completely the wrong track, and possibly hoping beyond hope, I note that Holborn is not far from the station at Charing Cross which - in terms of its signalling - is, I believe, under the control of London Bridge.....

As I say though, probably barking up the wrong tree, so.....

BVE, are you confusing Three Bridges ASC (panel opened in the early 80s) with Three Bridges ROC (the new 'mega-box')?

Because everyone started wibbling and frothing over things completely irrelevant to the discussion of the meet, so it was split into a new thread.

I mean really, post 2 and it had to be because a new sim was being released

But that is maybe a bit unfair because there is still an irrelevant item from another poster in the original topic which prompted TheBVE2010's comment. The old saying about "speculate to accumulate" seems to have been subverted by the internet generation to "speculate to accumulate pages and pages of irrelevant waffle".

5 Month's notice of a precise release date of a new sim: really?

Just to push the wibble to full grade, 15th October 1889 appears to be the opening date of Amsterdam Central station... Clearly we are getting an Amsterdam Sim! Clogs not included.

Would be fun: don't forget that it wouldn't be our first overseas sim as we did have Chicago as an Xmas pressie a year or two back.

As if to add more fuel to the speculation fire, and at that to connect it with JC92's post, it is being planned - or so I believe - for Eurostar to run from St. Pancras International to Amsterdam Centra(a)l, via. Brussels and Schiphol, at some point in the next few years.....

And a quick Google rather than a quick waffle would have enabled you to give chapter and verse (http://www.railwaygazette.com/news/high-speed/single-view/view/eurostar-plans-details-of-london-amsterdam-service.html)

Cheers. I had gone on Eurostar's website but couldn't find anything referring to the plans for the direct service. I hope that the planned service does happen as I like Amsterdam (not for the wrong reasons!) and have been there a few times.

Oh go on, while we're at it let's speculate on the release date for the 'whole world' sim that the secret senior devs group has on test at the moment
