I'm still in the early hours of this timetable, but I'm wondering why the routing of passenger trains such as 1P68 and 1E94 from Leeds to York is timetabled via the line to Methley Junction reappearing at Church Fenton on the line from Milford Junction instead of via the usual route through Leeds East, Cross Gates, and Micklefield to Church Fenton. Similarly i've spotted a Kings Cross - Leeds train coming in on the Castleford line instead of the more direct line from Doncaster via Wakefield Westgate. Perhaps there is a reason for these unusual routings that I'm not aware of - though the routings could be used if there are diversions and the normal routes are unavailable due to track works etc NB I'm very grateful for the appearance of the Leeds and York sims and look forward to seeing some of the gaps in this region filled soon.
