Afternoon All Whilst sorting out some timetables for the 2001 period , I noticed a small issue with Ayr Station. I have a train arrive from Glasgow Central into Platform 1. It does its usual and signal PA343 correctly approach releases as it should. ARS sets this fine. Now! This is where the problem occurs. The incoming train (1K01) approaches , glides into Platform 1 and sits at the far end of the Platform. It's next working (2K62) is interposed correctly but it shows the track circuit at the buffers clear , and the Track Circuit at the signal (PA344) as occupied. That's Track Circuit T626 occupied and T628 Clear and available. See attached image. PS , I'm on the latest loader version Post has attachments. Log in to view them. So are you saying that the arriving train stops at the country end of the station and not the buffers? The default stopping position for Ayr is Near end for reversal. To override the default stopping position use the timetable editor for the relevant trains. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Ah sorry, you don't need to do anything, it's been added to the bug tracker for fixing, that number is the tracking code just in case the bug needs looking at or referring to again.

The ability to set different platforms (in each direction) to a different default stopping position was introduced after Paisley was released, to cover situations just like this. It can still be overridden in timetables as Peter says so it's not a big issue, just a new feature that he might like to roll in with other changes.

You can also tweak the stopping point +/- using the adjustment option next to it. I thought there was something on Wiki on this but could not find on a very quick search. Here it is everything you wanted to know about timetable writing. Peter Post has attachments. Log in to view them. I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs!
