Trying to set up a Rugby- Coventry chain. When attempting to chain Coventry to Rugby North I get a chaining arrangements inconsistent warning. Additionally, in the Coventry sim I get the message "not receiving CN6551 / BT107". Trains cross the boundary from Rugby North to Coventry but do not pick up their associated timetable in the Coventry sim. All works fine with trains working in the opposite direction (ie transferring from Coventry to Rugby North). As far as I know I'm using the most up to date sim versions... Seems problem has been reported but I can't seem to find anything mentioned in known issues section of Rugby North or Coventry manuals. I also note that version history for Rugby North shows latest version as v1.2 (dated 12.05.2016) but I'm not getting this via the update function in the loader. Even after deleting and then re-installing the sim i'm only able to receive version 1.1

Afternoon, This issue is still present. Currently running a rugby centre, coventry and rugby north chain. Trains run nuneaton to coventry, but have to be told to shunt forward at TS103 at three spires to continue to nuneaton. Cheers Log in to reply |

Coventry 1.5 Rugby North 1.7 These are the two latest in the loader. Loader version 5.3 Timetable running in coventry: Coventry 20091015 0000 start version 4.0 - it says compatible with other TT's of this date. Timetable running in Rugby North: Rugby SCC North 15-10-09. Have it set to normal in both sims. One thing i have noticed is that the coventry timetable does not contain any UID for any trains. I tried adding into 2G37 the same UID as in the Rugby sim, but it did the same. The trains get to three spires and sit there, F2 says terminated with no more timetabled trips, you click shunt forward, it then jumps into the next sim and sometimes picks up its timetable, sometimes you have to reallocate the TT in Rugby. Hope this helps. Log in to reply |

On Conventry if you go to the Timetable Menu (F4) and select the general Tab what version number does it say (you should see major, minor and build)?

It says Major 0 Minor 0 Build 0. I do wonder if it is more a timetable issue rather than a chaining issue. Although Coventry doesn't feature the Coventry arena platforms but Rugby north does, so i'm not sure if Coventry requires an update for chaining or not? Any help appreciated. Edit: I have just found another TT of the same date, which says Major 4 Minor 2, which says a refreshed version. I will restart the chain and see if this TT works across the boundary better. Edit 2: With this new Coventry TT version trains are transiting between sims as expected. TT issue not a sim chaining issue. We had a mega chain a few months ago and I'm sure trains ran fine between Rugby North and Coventry.
