Hi,

Long time Simsig user but first post on forum. I tried to search for answer to this problem and look in manual but no answer!

I have recently purchased this sim as I love travelling between Salisbury and Exeter offering lovely view. My number 2 favourite line. If you are interested in what is my number 1 favourite route....it is West Highland Line in sleeper train!

Sim run well until 6am, that where problem begins, although I didn't see it until I bring up train list! 5L03 arrived at platform 4 and wait for 5L02 to arrive, I cleared 5L02 in and I thought they begins joining procedure so I wait for few minutes but joining procedure never happened so I bring up train list and much to my surprise, both complain that each other is in front of them and refused to join!

I tried to separate them and tell them off and tried to put them back together but they still complain! Now, I have no idea how to sort out the mess they caused! Can anyone help me solve this problem please? Both can fit in the platform without any issue.

Thanks in advance!

Are both trains fully within the platform? Try using "shunt forward" on one of the trains. Reversing manually (twice) may also help.

Also check that both trains' timetables have "stepped up" (i.e. Salisbury is highlighted in bold type in timetables for both trains) otherwise the trains will never join. Seem to recall this happened in one of my play-throughs with these trains.

If this is the case use the F2->right click on train->->Timetable Options->Edit Timetable->Location List and click on the Salisbury entry in the timetable then click Set Current Location. Trains should now start to join.

Planotransitophobic!

Yup, done that as described above (although I worded it differently!) but this solution didn't works.

Thank you! This solution works! Although I had to restart sim after trying out solution Geoff said. Now 5L02 and 5L03 is joining!

Update: I just got the message that 5L02 and 5L03 finished joining so I can continue playing Salisbury Sim!

Thank you, both, for your help!

Glad you're sorted, was going to suggest reversing one or both trains as sometimes that sorts it.

As the developer of the sim, any chance of a save at that time and/or just before so I can check there'snot an underlying bug in there?

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Andy,

Here you go. Save file include the incident that occurred at platform 4.
