2 items of concern

1st I am finding it almost impossible to logout of site it is taking many many clicks of logout to do
Which log out link are you using? There is more than one. I've tried two over and over again and can't reproduce this. What browser are you using?

and 2nd i don't know if this new site employs hidden text to stop non registard users from seeing IP addresses for multi player games but according to the attached picture it is not hidden from non logged in users
If you're not logged in the IP address is shown as:

Log in to see address and port details

Where exactly? It's not much help without knowing which particular elements you're having issues with.

The server is set to GMT/Zulu time. If you go to your account you should be able to change it to your timezone.
I have my timezone as Europe/London
Presumably the server is not set to take account of the BST offset.
The new system for timezones is making use of the IANA time zone database, something I heartily approve of.

"Europe/London" includes the UK's rules for the BST offset, so should change automatically at the end of next month. The server will just be running on year-round GMT.

The amount of white space is really annoying- there's a very large margin on either side that's permanently white,
Agreed. That's something I REALLY REALLY HATE about some web sites - they seem to think that I have this enormous metre-wide screen that means I only want to look at the middle bit. There is absolutely no justification for having these big blank bars. If I think the page is too wide, I'll narrow the window.

On the topic of timezones, I've just noticed that the server is ignoring my setting and just showing the times as UTC (so currently an hour wrong). I hope this will be fixed.

Sorry Geoff. To me, the listings under the Categories in the left column. Example the listings under USER.

Screen width should be fixed now, but we might yet make more improvements based on constructive criticism.

Timezone has already been mentioned and is on the Wiki page.

On the latest posts page, it shows all recent posts made on all boards, even the ones you don't have access too. However when you click on one you don't have access too you get a 404 error. Eg I see that Clive gas put a post in the general (developers) board, but I can not read the post (as it should be)

For some reason, my phone is not loading the mobile version of the site. This is likely an issue my end. There is no "switch to mobile" button/link like you find on other websites for situations when mobile devices don't automagically detect the correct version.

Would be nice if the forum-reply-body CSS class didn’t have a !important height set. Firefox normally puts a little handle in the corner of multiline text boxes allowing them to be resized so you can see more text onscreen at once. The !important height seems to prevent this from working. Added to the wiki page.

I saw this yesterday with Firefox - I'd click on my user name in the title bar and then "Log off" - it would take me to the home page and show me as logged out, but apparently fail to delete/reset/invalidate the login cookie, because as soon as I'd click on any link, it would log me back in again. However as of today this seems to be working correctly.

I just saw this now, again on Firefox. There is code to clear the cookies, per http://stackoverflow.com/questions/412300/formsauthentication-signout-does-not-log-the-user-out , and IE and Chrome seem to be ok. Yet when I test again with Firefox I can't recreate it. Frustrating.

Hi

I have found another issue that may need looking into.

I was in My Account section just to double check the info was correct and decided to add my birth date which showed up as 1968/01/15 08:01:04

I saved it and then clicked on Edit My Profile to check it had saved but noticed it displayed my birth date as 0015/01/19 08:01:04.

Can other users please check themselves just to make sure it not just me. Cheers.

Dave

p.s. There is no Preview Post option as sometimes its good to see what your message looks like before you click Submit.

It was using both logout links can't think what was doing to cause it but it happened on 3 seperate occasions.

and in a forum post for a multi player game (I note forum section Now gone since post 1st went up) when I was logged out and veiwing the post I could see the IP address the user put in, this was NOT in the New upcoming games section.

I have attempted to attach a screen shot.

The removal of the margins is definitely an improvement, in my opinion the Shoutbox and other sidebars could do with being reduced in width a bit.

The text formatting in quotes is very bizarre- the text at the very top is in a tiny font (which can be difficult to read), and then increases in size. Where quotes are embedded, there's no relation between text size and how deeply they're embeded, which makes it difficult to tell who wrote what- there are multiple examples of this in this thread. Would it be possible to format quotes so that text size is consistent, but formatted so it's obvious it's a quote? For example, italic text or a grey background to the quoted text?

License Manager should now be working again. If you're missing one or two products then don't worry, your license is still there, just some data mismatch I'd need to fix.

Apologies to all those who have emailed, PM, Skyped, and generally posted questions, comments, or rants to me: I've just been rushed off my feet trying to get things fixed. I'm now offline for the weekend and we'll resume fixing things Monday/Tuesday. Thanks for your patience.

For some reason, topics in "General (Developers)" and "General (Testers)" are showing up for me when I view "Latest Posts". I'm unable to access the threads and those forums aren't listed in the main list of forums (so the permissions work on some level), but I can see the topics and first+last posters.

Already reported and noted cheers.

Don't seem to have quite the same access to forum functionality as before but these areas are shown as locked private in the control pages but I guess the headline is not.

I've checked again and it seems like all the previously hidden spam posting are not just visible on the "Latest Posts" page, but in their respective subforums as well - and the post is actually accessible after clicking on it.

Hmm, a moment ago, it still didn't work on my PC at home (which is using Firefox as well), however after clearing cookies for SimSig.co.uk, logging out seems to work.
The only cookie that seems to have been recreated is some cookie with a random looking name, although I don't know whether its the true culprit or if it was in fact some innocent remnant of the previous homepage and something else is to blame.

Since I can't edit the post, this was of course meant to say "The only cookie that doesn't seem to have been recreated..."
