I think the title says it all and thanks to the recent changes in the website I now know for definite that the age of technology has gone in one ear and come straight out of the other side without anything being registered at all. I now have two apple devices which although having both been updated at the request of Apple to be updated do not allow the Sim Sig forum etc. to be viewed sitting in my armchair and results in me having to boot up the laptop to see what is going on in SimSig land. Both the I-Pad and I-Pad air always default to the green edition of the site and do not respond in any way to the links that seem to be behind the new forum box on the left of the pages which my laptop allows me to do. The green text still gives me grief as reported earlier but luckily with the touch screen I can expand the text so it can be read. Can anyone tell me how to be able to start using these devices properly again. The laptop is a little better in that I can click on links and get some response but why I would want tobe able to click on Peterborough testing and then get a page with an error message on I don't know. Perhaps it should instead of the error message just show a message stating "It will be ready when it's ready" The text on the laptop is also in green so why people keep referring to blue text I don't know or do not have the power of seeing. I noted when I logged on that I had a message from another user but this was the first alert that I had received. With the old forum I used to get an alert in my ordinary orange mail account that I had mail in SimSig but that does not seem to happen any more. Now I have the same problem with the laptop when looking at the index page in that the text in some of the topics is so small that I can no longer read it. This is especially so when looking at the sections for Simulations and timetables. Sorry guys. I really am wanting to give the new web pages some favourable feedback and be able to derive some enjoyment from being part of the community but my patience seems to be running out quickly not being able to view things especially with the I-Pad's. Can someone let me know what I can do to fix the issues and revert back to being a boring old fart that you never hear from......well only very occasionally. Geoff. Log in to reply |

On the specific point of Peterborough Testing, that's a topic on the tester forum which is why you get the error message. For some reason the topic title is not hidden. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
