What do I do when I get a call from, say, Freshford asking to cross the line. There's no obvious way to prevent traffic up and down the Trowbridge line once you're passed Bathampton Junction.

Not a major problem for traffic coming from the Bath/Bristol direction - but what do I do about traffic coming up from the Trowbridge side - I can't prevent it from entering my area, and can't stop it before Bathampton.

When I worked there in the 1990s we used to grant permission for people to use the crossings and give them two minutes to cross if there weren't any trains about. If necessary we would have called the Westbury Signalman and ask him to keep the signal at Bradford-upon-Avon at Danger to protect the crossing.

I doubt if anything has been coded into the sim though.

Newer sims have the ability to block a line but I think Bristol hasn't got that feature.
