Could somebody please explain to me why 0X00 (Seed Banker) has run out of valid track in the Banker Spur? I've read about running out of valid track somewhere, but at the moment can't find it in the Wiki. 0X00 is timetabled to go to Bromsgrove (South), Plat BS, which I have taken to mean the Banker Spur. Have I made a mistake? If I have, where should I have sent it? I'm running the Gloucester 1985 v1.112 timetable in beginner mode and the time is approximately 00.14 Let me know if a saved game is required and I'll post one. Thanks Bugsy Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

Bugsy Try Signalling Options / Reverse Direction. The Lickey Banker on the Gloucester sim is unusual in that the allocation to the next working is done manually rather than, as for most other trains, via the timetable. This is because the trains that need to be banked will vary according to requirements and from day to day, so it would be impossible to write a sensible timetable for this activity. When a train requiring a banker is approaching (Check the timetable of up trains (mostly freights but the odd sleeper also) for a join at Bromsgrove South. You will then need to run 0X00 to another timetable, as specified in the timetable of the train that needs to be banked. It will then join and you can send the whole train up the Lickey Bank. At the top, the banker will detach as 0B00, then return to the Banker Spur as before, after which you will need to repeat the exercise as required for further trains that require banking. I believe there are further explanatory notes in the timetable and / or in the Wiki. Good luck! Chris Log in to reply |

Thanks Chris. I've reversed 0X00 as you advised and it is now sitting at signal 461 waiting for duty. I also appreciate your instructions on how to allocate a Train Description for the Banker. I've also read other posts regarding this activity. It'll be interesting to see how I get on! Bugsy Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |
