I think the best advice is to take your time and expect some issues along the way.... SimSig is a realistic simulator of a IECC and as a result is quite complex. It may take a while for you to get the hang of things but that's all part of the learning curve (its the same as those training for the real thing!). Start with a simpler simulation first to get the hang of things. Something like Royston if you want really simple, or perhaps Stafford if you want to be a bit more adventurous. I'd also keep the failure and problem settings turned off as well at first otherwise it's very easy to get overwhelmed. Feel free to join any of the multiplayer games. These tend to be on the larger sims (sometimes even with multiple sims connected together) where you control just one small panel part of a larger system. This is actually a good way to learn the larger sims as you can do it bit by bit. Hosts are usually very accommodating to new players if you let them know beforehand and will be happy to help you along if you get stuck just. Once you know the basics. You can then start playing with the failures and problem settings, these make things more awkward. You can also look at migrating up to larger more complex sims. Other than that, remember you aren't trying to get a perfect score, you are just trying to do the best you can....And have fun! Log in to reply |
