Hello! Only just registered but I have been playing for a few weeks, first on Royston and now on Oxted. Looking forward to challenging myself with some more complex sims. Hello! I'm living Hungary, and I work at Hungarian State Railway. I have always been interested in the world of railways, and at home I would like to delve a little into the world of railway traffic control, unfortunately there are few such programs for computers, then I found SIMSIG, which is practically excellent for this purpose, let's say it's a shame that you can't create your own routes, because for the sake of fun, I would build a railway line 142 (142: Budapest - Lajosmizse - Kecskemét) in it, so that we can have fun with friends. Hello! Very happy to be finally joining the commumity here. Been finally getting better at the sim and hopefully I'll be able to join in some multiplayer action later this spring once I'm more experienced!

Hi, the name's Simon. I have always been interested in mechanical signalling, and I'm fairly familiar with the UK fixed block signalling system, but I'd never really dug into the newer electronic signalling systems. I was particularly interested in the Entry/Exit method of controlling signalling, and was searching for details on the internet when I found the link to SimSig. Absolutely astonished with the level of detail and I can't imagine why I'd never stumbled on it before. I've been playing the Aston simulator on and off for about 2 weeks now, in beginner mode with TSRs off and ARS and TORR off also, I've got to the point where I can achieve a score of 98% overall. I'm guessing it's a fairly simple simulation, with most of the trains both entering and leaving via Aston, and only a few trains running the full distance between Aston and Wichnor Jn., and very few freight trains during the peak part of the day. I'm now wondering whether to up the difficulty level a bit (I did try Standard once, but it floored me how I could turn back trains at a different station when a set of points was faulty - I know now, but I didn't think to pause the sim while I went to look for answers and it messed everything up), or go for a more challenging simulator. I'd like to try Rugby as that's where I live, and I used to commute regularly both to London and Birmingham on that line. I'd appreciate any suggestions for more experienced users. I can see there is a whole lot to learn. Cheers.

Hi. Thanks for the pointers. Actually, Coventry sounds like it might be quite interesting as, not only is it next to Rugby Central, but I'm assuming it will encompass the two branches off to Nuneaton and Leamington, as well as the main Birmingham <-> Rugby line. But I'll take a look at both sets of documentation before I make the choice. Thanks again

hellow, im mmtunligit, but just call me nora, i like trains a lot and hope to work with them someday. my current project is giving New England a european style intercity rail network, and in SimSig im working my way up the coast from penzance, ive been playing a bit and liked it enough to buy cornwall
