Where are some good trainspotting places near/ around Brighton Station, also is it only MPV's and 73's that 'freight' service Brighton?

Only regular freight in the area is a train to Ardingley (approaches from the north and runs round at Haywards Heath), and and aggregates train to Newhaven. These run once a day at most.
