I can't set a route into the UGL at Oxenholme. If I set CE52 into CE62 then trying to set CE52 into CE42 says no overlap available. If I do it in reverse, setting into the loop first then try to hook up CE62 to CE52 it says locked reverse by another route.

Just checking if this is a bug or something I'm not doing properly, though I can't see how.

You have to run the train up to CE52, wait for the overlap for CE62 (which extends beyond CE52) to drop out and then signal the train into the loop. There is a timeout so the overlap from CE62 doesn't drop out as soon as the signal is replaced to R. You have to hold the train at CE52 while the timeout runs down before you set the route to CE42.

Worth noting there is a banner repeater on the approach to CE52 aswell. Here it is on the signal box panel diagram:

Ah of course its obvious now. Obviously without a train to experiment with I wouldn't see that fiddling with it.

Now for future reference whenever you revisit the manual, whoever is in charge of that, this would be something worth having in there. I've read the manual many times and I'm virtually certain its not mentioned.

Given that it's editable by anyone, you can nominate yourself to be in charge of that change!

There's no reference in the Carlisle manual to that page, nor does that page mention Oxenholme.

Edit: I've now edited that page so it does include this example - there's at least one more on Carlisle that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Edit 2: For the sake of completeness, I've added it to the sim manual too.

I just saw the edit. I forgot that the manuals were public wiki but being still rather novice around here I'm reluctant to put my mark on the official documentation anyway.

Don't be afraid. Go ahead and if the devs aren't happy with it they'll soon roll it back (I found this out the hard way...)

While I've not had an issue with Oxenholme UGL. I'm glad to see a sneaky preview of a screenshot Tom uploaded of the 2016 era when Oxenholme was remodelled to allow Windermere bound trains to arrive a little faster instead of the slow arrival.

I'm really looking forward to the release and have a planned to do a new timetable hopefully a 4-Day timetable From Monday through to Thursday or Friday to Monday this will see a variety of freight traffic and the regular passenger and sleepers.

Soon been soon looking forward to the release.
