Hi all,

I have a problem with 6D08/0D08 on the Derby sim.

The train runs from Sinfin to the DGL at Derby RR and proceeds south.

However, when the train arrives to RR it does not detach its loco but takes the whole train forward. I can't see too much wrong with the two attached timetable entries. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong here.

6D08 needs to have the timetable entry for Sinfin GF No. 2 converted into a stopping time, so you have a chance to actually set up the route into the loop before the train proceeds [1].
Your 0D08 screenshot is showing a later run-round, the timetable you actually need to look at is 0D08 (H76400L4). There, you need to add a stop at Sinfin North before the second entry for Sinfin GF No.2 Loop.

If you do the run-round at Sinfin, it could also happen that after departing from Sinfin North and arriving in the loop, the loco initially doesn't want to recognise its train. Abandoning and reassigning its timetable should get things to work, though.

[1] Even with a stopping time I'm not sure whether currently the driver will actually wait for you to set the correct route into the loop or simply drive on regardless once ready to depart, so something to watch out for.

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.
