Is there any anyway that this type of emergency working be put into the sims as I think this could make for some interesting moves

I believe there's a scenario on the Cambridge sim which is what you ask for, with pilotmen working on one route for engineering works. Further, the Exeter sim has an option for the Down line along the seawall being closed due to high seas, and so one line working is implemented. A number of other sims have bi-directional working on some lines, which could allow you to simulate a line closure and force some conflicts for you to manage. Log in to reply |

It's actually quite an unusual situation: if SLW is required south of Shepreth Branch Junction on the Liverpool Street line, the two tracks from SBJ to Cambridge are *both* run as single lines, one for Liverpool Street line services and the other for King's Cross line services. It can be done at PPD (Pontypridd) on the Cardiff Valleys sim - it may require some TT jiggling but you can close P3 and run all trains through 2! I've done it a few times ha
