Is there some problems from trains coming from Tamar Valley ? no trains are allounced from this entrance point even if they are scheduled on timetable and also on simplifier. Is there something wrong in my behaviour ? thanks for the reply Diego from NW Italy Log in to reply |

The Tamar Valley line isn't an exit point. The line to Gunnislake, which is just a long single line, is fully simulated. To get a train to leave the branch, you first have to send a train onto the branch. Trains should be timetabled from Plymouth (or wherever you choose) to either Gunnislake or Bere Alston; they can then form a new service departing from that location. Thanks for the reply and sorry for my bad english. According to your reply at my question if i have well comprise i must send a train to Gunnislake branch with the exact train identification number so the simulation can manage the train to arrive at Gunnislake and to return in Plymouth according to the timetable that i have choose But if the timetable consider that trains from Gunnislake depart toward the same direction to have this type of traffic i must start simulation with the first train in the day (sorting from laira depo i think ?) Diego, If you look at the current schedule for Gunnislake station today (Monday) for example - http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/GSL/2017/08/28/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt - the idea of one train on before you get one train off the branch is correct. This is because there are no places along the line where trains can be stored overnight: the nearest depot which serves this line is at Laira which is in the city of Plymouth. Many years ago trains continued beyond Gunnislake to a small town called Callington but this finished in November 1966. A separate route, between Bere Alston and Tavistock, closed in 1968 although reopening has been suggested. The location of Tavistock does not feature on the Plymouth map. The only location on the Gunnislake railway which does not require a train train to arrive before one can leave are the Ernesettle MOD (Navy) sidings: despite Ernesettle MOD not being on the map that location is listed as an entry point, and can also be used as an arrival point, for trains. However only freight trains use Ernesettle: there is no passenger station. I hope this clarifies things a little.
