I've not seen a post regarding this topic, so thought I would start my own one.

Is there any way to IP ban people from joining hosted sims?

A user (not naming names, will happily discuss if asked) comes onto a multi. Grabs a panel AHEAD of the 5 other people who joined before him, then moans because he gets told to get off and let the 5 before-him join. Then complains because nobody will chain to it, then ragequits....

Comes back an hour-or-so later, asks again to chain, moans when we won't chain for him (especially 2-3hrs into the sim) and starts tampering with other people's panels. Log proof can be asked for if required.

Is there any way to stop this kind of idiocy from happening?

Most internet security programs allow you to add specific IP address to block, it varies from vendor to vendor, but you just need to add a firewall rule to block all connection from said IP, once rule has been added I recommend moving to the top of the list or as near to the top as possible. ensuring that if there is a save option to make sure you save.
