Does anyone know what the difference is between the pre- and post-2013 eras is? As far as I can see, the track layout is identical.

And if anybody can work out unambiguous logic to the new line codes, I'm keen to hear it. With the old set up you had a line code leaving one location and a path code arriving at the next, and it was perfectly obvious if a train switched line. Now... MEM, MFM, MFS... what the! Some were easy to work out; others not so and had to be determined by process of elimination and "most likely" scenario. Now, if I had to do that, it's obviously not... obvious.

/Rant.

It's not as simple as that, what with multiple crossovers and combined with the path codes at Bow.
