Hi all, Thank you to all involved for this wonderful sim, of the line I drive every working day, it's been great to play. Please note, this is not a complaint of any sort, just observations that I have on a daily basis. The sim says it is a timetable based on 5th Oct 2016, so my observations will be relevant to that date. Firstly the wiki. Bishop's Stortford's UPL can only hold 8 cars not 12 (without fouling the points to the sidings) so from 1496 to 5383, I had to go and rescue an 8 car in the UPL with a 4 car last winter and spent 2 and a half hours blocking the sidings. Stansted Airport platform one can hold (and has for a couple of years now), 16 cars. Our current schedule has an 8 car 317 sit in platform one all weekend, whilst the Stansted Express runs with 8 cars all weekend. Park Lane Level Crossing Box is no longer there On to the sim. I have noticed that stopping services at Tottenham Hale, Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Harlow Town and Bishop's Stortford all have red lights on the end of the platform and only change nearer to departure time. Any train stopping, but going through to a further destination, the route clears as if on a normal section of line. The TRTS at Broxbourne, is only required to be operated if there is a headcode change at the station. I have never had a red on the end of these platforms in normal running with no disruption, they are always cleared. Wharf Road level crossing in the UP direction. Due to the proximity of 1070 signal to the crossing, there is insufficient overlap, so 1072, is also held until barriers are down if you follow something up from Broxbourne and also if the crossing fails, then we always have to be talked passed 1072 and 1070. Because of this, we NEVER get a double yellow at 1480 or 1074 at Broxbourne. Coming off of the Hertford branch and routing via the Up Passenger Loop into Platform 1, at 1230, I noticed it was green with a flashing single yellow at 1088, 1230 has flashing double yellows for this, the Hertford branch resorts to 4-aspect signals from 1234, as you can see if the junction signal is at danger. Johnsons foot crossing, north of Bishop's Stortford is no longer there and is now a footbridge. As I said initially, this is not a moan or anything like that, as this has been fantastic to play, being on the other side, but just my observations in case the reality can be incorporated into the sim. Auto lower on the level crossings would be nice. As an aside working in Romford Roc I regularly hear my Network Rail colleagues answering calls on the emergency line from people who have been waiting for the barriers to raise,as mostof them are probably down for more time than they are raised. Windmill Lane probably causing most calls. obviously that is not what the emergency phone number is for and my colleagues have to be quite tactful in their replies. Northumberland Park crossing is also no more but was there in Oct 2016. Glyn Glyn Calvert ACIRO Log in to reply The following user said thank you: GeoffM |

Just notices another in the Wiki, Stansted Airport's middle platform (platform 2) can hold 4 cars only, not the eight in the Wiki. Cheers. Log in to reply |
