Hi all, I was aware that under the previous loader version Shunt Moves didn't work correctly. This was indicated as fixed in the latest loader thus:- 0017618: [Bugs] Shunt option not behaving correctly (GeoffMayo) - resolved. I pleased to report that they now behave properly in their operation (including day choices and decisions) with one exception. They do not seem to adhere to their time limits. I have yard shunts due to finish at 0500 and I'm still being asked for shunts at 0530, which was one of the problems under the previous loader. Running on further there are then no further requests until the time of the next shunting period - in this case 0800. I'm now testing to see whether bringing the end of period forward by 30min (i.e. 0430) will actually stop shunting at 0500. Attached is a time table which will show the error if it is run until 0500 on any weekday timetable (not Saturday). It is not for general use as there are a number of untested changes I've made since the last formal release which may or may not work. Vince Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Can confirm that exactly one train will enter after the expiry time. Mantis 18523 which is a different issue to what was initially reported.

It is noted somewhere that there are situations where more trains than might be expected could turn up. One example is a 55 minute window with a 60 minute interval: is a train entering 56-60 minutes appropriate or not? Another example is overlapping ranges or even abutting ranges but with different intervals - there has to be some transition which leaves a bit of a grey area between the ranges. That said, there may be a fencepost error which I'll look at. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Geoff, Thank you - may I say for a start I've just had run through of an early revised version of Peterborough 77 (Version 1.03) and the addition of shunt moves really makes it come alive and at times really challenging with lots of ML shunts to path in amongst 100mph trains. A great addition now its working well. The time limits for the shunts were like this - carefully constructed to be an hour after the driver's booking on time and stopping one hour before booking off time! 0001 - 0500 30min - 90min 0700 - 1300 30min - 90min 1500 - 1800 30min - 90min (pause now for the peak) 2200 - 2500 30min - 90min There was always one shunt at varying times after the end of each period. I did attach the timetable to the first post in case that helps.
