(Wish it were) Penzance although the layout doesn't quite coincide. Wild guesses: * Tonbridge West Yard entrance. * Fratton East junction Doesn't quite feel like the Heart Of Wales line. Whilst beautiful it would probably be quite boring with 4 trains a day each way... Log in to reply |

Based on GeoffM's earlier post I say Three Bridges or part there of. This guess is probably nearly as good as my earlier one :s

If the new sim is to be part of the Three Bridges ares then my guess would be Three Bridge (Crawley) which would fringe with the sims for Horsham (one gap bridged) and Brighton (via. Balcombe Tunnel Junction, the SB of which closed to Three Bridges 09-Jul-1978). That would be two gaps "bridged" but I am unsure as to the third gap. Just a thought. Would East Coastway count as the third gap bridged?

Doesn't rule it out, just that it won't chain IF your theory is accurate, so that gap won't be bridged ;-) Noisynoel Last edited: 09/12/2017 at 19:10 by Noisynoel Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I'm going to guess two more I might be wrong, but I've had this feeling for a little while and think it's either Peak Forest or Leicester EMCC (by a hint of two quarrys sharing one line) looking at the given image...

Speaking of bridging gaps, newport would bridge cardiff sims onto bristol and then exeter/plymouth/westbury/swindon/oxford/gloucester etc. Then we'd just need a hereford sim to link to shrewsbury.

I managed to get it to work before. It produces an error message on startup but does chain successfully.

Another thought on the matter of Bridging gaps. If we were talking three gaps to Bridge then could be a sim to cover more than one box? A sim covering Walsall PSB area plus the line to Rugeley (not inclusive) via. Hednesford would link to Saltley (via. Ryecroft Junction), New Street (via. Tame Bridge Parkway) and Stafford (via. Rugeley). Also staying in the Midlands (but bridging two gaps not three) would be Stourbridge Junction which would link to New Street (via. Rowley Regis) and Saltley (via. Jewellery Quarter).
