Hi, Whilst trying to work round a TCF I decided to work a train reverse from St. Andrew's to Birmingham reverse via UWL. It happily went through Grand and Curzon but when it got to keyed points P555 - between signals 149 and 142, it stopped "at buffer stops" and just sat there, not a peep from the driver. It didn't reach shunting signal 155 as I hoped. If I reverse it and try again, same thing happens again at that junction. I've attached a save. I know it's an outlier case so not a world-beating bug! Seemed to have found the equivalent issue on the UP DEL - 2N54 blocked by TCF/locked points at Proof House Jn so reversing back to New Street. Magic buffers between T206 and T205.... Save attached. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream... Log in to reply |

Off topic: it appears that reversing between Proof House and Landor Street is still possible there & is a signalled move, so that would be more realistic in the 2N54 case. In any case I don't see a difference between the three eras in the overlap track circuit there. At least, when comparing the signal number plans - the layout on the UW is slightly different than on the PDF plan so perhaps there's been a sim update introducing an era difference there? (Proof House Jn is different, of course; and that caused issued in the linked thread at signal 82.) AJP in games Last edited: 27/05/2020 at 15:31 by Albert Reason: None given Log in to reply |

There is a join between eras there. It's logged on Mantis for me to look at, though I've not had success fixing it yet.

I dunno whether in reality there is enough knitting to reverse behind NS138? Would enough wiring be provided in case of a mis-route? In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream... Log in to reply |

However, whether or not a train would be authorised to use them in this situation is another matter entirely. Once I work out a fix, it'll apply to all of them. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
