At present sim authors can create scenarios with line blockages etc. but not users when creating a timetable. Timetable writers either 'park up' block trains or suggest to users that they set certain signals with reminders or points locked one way or another. Could the timetable file format be extended to allow these commands to be entered ? It may be easier (at first anyway) simply to define suitable xml to enter by hand. Say something like <collarsignal>CQ245</collarsignal> <pointsnormal>P739A</pointsnormal> Unless it is useful to more than just a few timetable creators then perhaps do not go to the extent of putting it in the editor. This would allow 'user created scenario' such as Cowlairs with Queen St shut (2016 timetable) which should start up with 4 collared signals. Discussion in timetable chat also raised the idea of blockages being requested during a timetable run, which is a separate idea. Bill Log in to reply |

That is exactly the sort of thing I have in mind... after all the other stuff I need to do!
