Mod note - for anyone reading this thread with the same problem the steps to resolve it are described in the simulation manual.

Hiya,
I'm playing the Picc simulation with the supplied 2015 SX timetable and 5M05 Nottingham - Warrington is not progressing beyond the entry point at Ashburys. Its booked to enter at 0626 then thru Picc plat 14 and on to Warrington.
As a result, all trains booked to run behind it from the down Ashburys don't get described as they are behind 5M05, and the game gets stuck at this point.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Attached game at the saved point @ 0655 attached. (30 mins after the train should be passing)

Looking at the incident report you had a TCF in the Piccadilly area, can you state where the TCF was please.

As having looked at your save, I have accounted for all the trains listed in the F2 train list and 5M05 is not among them.

Does this post 103263 and its thread relate to the problem? Seems likely to me, this has occurred randomly in mplay, usually just cancelling the TD as explained there fixes the bottleneck.

Hi Andy.
Ive cancelled the decription as you suggested via the link, which has worked, but the train is still stuck in the description, so nothing else can come behind it. The sim wont let you cancel it as its described. 5M05 is not on the train list so you cant cancel it that way either !

The TCF was infront of signal 340 Marc, which has since cleared

Did you do the right click the signal and click on "Cancel Train Description" while the sim was paused? also did you goto the F11 Incident control panel and follow the instructions for that?

This should definatly work as I have tried it three times myself, are you getting any messages on the message box like "cannot cancel a queue berth". make sure the sim is not paused while carrying it out, as they won't clear while sim is paused

The option to Cancel train description is the very bottom of the right click menu on sig 311.

If you don't get a menu option when right clicking a signal, go to F3 select the control tab and untick "Right-click cancels route" then click OK, and the right click on signal 311

.

Just for the record, even if a TD remains in a queue berth it is only a piece of text in a position on the screen. If the underlying train is not present, then the next train due will pass through the TC and will overwrite the text with its own TD.

I am no expert on how TD's work especially on entry points, but given that in this situation for the Next train to enter, The TD had to be cleared as just clearing the track circut did not result in the next train entering.

From the save, I cancelled the TD at sig 311, used F11 to unocc TASHBURYS_A1.

1P07 appears as train app, and enters from AShbury soon after. Save attached.

There's no need to clear the track, just the TD, as per the manual.
