Can the new stations at Apperley Bridge and Kirkstall Forge be added to the Leeds NW area sim map and timetables please? I am busy writing timetables for the Winter 2017-2018 period and am unable to add these stations into the timetable as they are not in the sim (one is shown as tbc) which means that the timetable will be slightly out if they are ommitted. Thanks for any help Phil .... Log in to reply |

People have asked for new stations to be added to sims, without a result. Forgive me if this comes across as rude (it really is not intended that way)...but if developers re-did sims every time a new station/signal/trackwork came out, then the list of work to be done would be endless and there would be no time left for making new sims! I personally can not see it happening I'm afraid...I may be proven wrong though! The Welsh contingent. Aron, or Ar to mates. Also known as 88E or ThatManCalledAr. Log in to reply |

It isnt unreasonable to request new stations to be added to sims (even if not acted upon straight away) Adding a station, unless there is significant track and signal alterations required as a result does not take necessarily take much time. All thats really needed is the location of the platform, the time taken to draw a platform on screen, and location in data (Possibly era work as well depending on the sim). However, for track, signal alterations etc, this does take significantly more time and effort, not mentioning the new details of the layout, track circuits, points, signals etc would be needed. No offence taken. Just thought it wouldn't take much to do as no track alterations etc are needed. Doesn't do any harm to ask. Log in to reply |

In this case, timetable locations for Apperley Bridge and Kirkstall Forge already exist which suggests that there was/is an intention to add them to the sim at some point.

Exeter being a great example where we have two new stations (newcourt and Cranbrook) with a new era to run them in. This was very much user request driven. Not to worry I'll crack on with the timetable with them ommitted until it allows me to enter them in. This is my first attempt at creating a timetable and I'm enjoying the challenge ! I doubt it could be done due to screen limitations? Apologies if already asked on this forum Log in to reply |

If the simulation were extended to include Honiton's control area, the entry point to the simulation would move, and all existing timetables would be unplayable unless they were updated. Timetable rules can be added to simulate trains terminating outside the area. For example, if 2A01 terminates at Honiton and forms 2A02 back to Exeter, the rule "2A02 must not enter until 3 minutes after 2A01 leaves the area" would simulate the train turning back and forming a new service. Anything further east would probably form a seperate sim to meet up with salisbury.GeoffM in post 107891 said:Exeter with added stations is great !!, Thanks to those who made the additions even though I would have liked Honiton and Axminster be added as functional as regards to terminating trains and starting of new services from those stations.Ar88 in post 107885 said:People have asked for new stations to be added to sims, without a result.False.
