As we all know Preston & Warrington PSB simulations are in development and been shown this weekend (16 June) at Ribble Steam Railway, I would like to put forward two scenario options for Preston PSB. These are totally optional but are to real life. Two-real life to date features I would like to see within the scenario options on Preston PSB Simulation is Block 1: A full line block possession from Preston Fylde Jn taking in Up Main, Up/Dn Through Lines, Platform 4 to 7 to Ribble Jn UF/DF. This happens every 4th week between 00:01 and 04:45 where the above locations are blocked to traffic while track works take place overnight this means trains are to use the Down/Up Goods, Platform 1 to 3. Up Trains heading south via Platform 3 can access to Up Fast from Ribble Jn, Platforms 3c/4c aren’t affected by the block. Down Sleepers to Scotland will have to use Platform 3 instead of Platform 4. Block 2: A full line possession from Preston Fylde Jn taking in Down Main, North Siding 3, Platform 3 to Preston South Jn. This happens every Thursday of each week from 09:00 until 16:00 and is blocked to traffic this while daily track works/cleaning are taking place, Platform 2 is open to traffic as usual but with a TSR of 20 through out the platform. Platforms 3c/4c aren’t affect by the line block. All trains schedules to use Platform 3 usually use Platform 4, where Platform 4 traffic used Platform 6.
